Default location for virtual machines

The default location is the folder(directory for Linux) where image files related to the virtual machine are stored. A subfolder is created for each virtual machine and related files are stored.

I recommend using a fast HDD or SSD. :D

Keep VMs running after Workstation closes

It allows your running virtual machines to always run in the background when you exit VMware Workstation Pro.

Default hardware compatibility

As the computer hardware has 386, 486, and 586, the version of the virtual machine hardware is defined according to the version of VMware Workstation. Depending on the hardware version, virtual machine scalability and compatibility are different. The latest version is not necessarily good.

If you use it with VMware vSphere, it is better to match the virtual machine hardware version.

Hot Keys

Clicking the mouse on the virtual machine console moves the mouse and keyboard control to the virtual machine. To return the mouse and keyboard control to your host OS, simply press the hot key.

If you use a Linux host and VNC server, don't set the full screen. The hot key does not work on the full screen. And I recommend setting the hot key to Ctrl+Shift in a Linux host.

Autofit

If you install GuestOS on a virtual machine and then install VMware Tools, the resolution is automatically adjusted. I check both checkboxes to avoid paying attention to resolution.
